The University of Auckland (UoA) is located in the harbour city of Auckland – a city ranked third out of 230 cities in the 2015 Mercer Quality of Living Survey and one of the QS Best Student Cities 2015. The University is New Zealand’s highest-ranked university as well as also being the largest and most comprehensive. Undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are offered through eight faculties in the Arts, Business, Creative Arts and Industries, Education and Social Work, Engineering, Law, Medical and Health Sciences and Science. The University of Auckland has a QS 5 Star PLUS rating for excellence in eight categories: Research, Employability, Teaching, Facilities, Internationalization, Innovation, Specialist Criteria and Inclusiveness. UoA has 42,000 students including 6000 international students from over 110 countries. The University provides extensive support services for all students including academic learning support, accommodation options, scholarships, pastoral care, sport and recreation facilities and many on-campus events.
